Configuring a Third Party Logistics Integration
Using this document, Shipsy users can learn how to configure a Third Party Logistics Provider integration as per their requirements.
Instructions
Navigating to the Integration Marketplace
Click on the menu icon and click on integrations
From the sub menu, select Integration Marketplace
Navigating to Third Party Logistics Tab
To navigate to the list of all available 3PL providers, users need to click on the Third Party Logistics tab
From the tile view of all available 3PL providers, the user must select the 3PL they want to integrate with and click on it’s tile
They will then be directed to the overview page of the selected 3PL where they will be able to see the summary, list of integrations and the list for the support documentation provided by the 3PL
Configuring a Third Party Logistics Provider
Click on the Add Third Party Logistics button
Input Account Name and select version
On the configuration page, the user will be required to input a few details that will be required to configure the 3PL. These fields may include a combination of the following fields. Please note, the required fields will be different for every 3PL depending on the kind of information they require to be successfully configured.
Base URL
API Key
Username
Password
Customer ID
Next, the user will click on the Tracking Tab to configure the webhook for their configured 3PL. Here, they will be required to input the webhook body, which will be provided to them by the 3PL
In the communications tab, users can configure contact emails which will be contacted in case there is a malfunction wrt their configured 3PL
Under the settings tab, users will be able to change the advanced settings of the 3PL they are configuring, these settings will include setting up a virtual series, rate and TAT master setup, the allocation rules etc for that particular 3PL. Please note, advanced settings will also vary from 3PL to 3PL depending on the kind of configurations they allow
Clicking on Save will finalise the configuration for that 3PL and it will then be visible as a line item on the 3PL overview page.
Conclusion
The Third Party Logistics Provider has been configured successfully and all functionalities will now be available to users within the ops dashboard.
