Serviceability Master
"Serviceability Master" is used in the logistics industry to determine whether the pickup or delivery for an order is possible or not. End customers may be in a location that cannot be serviced by a carrier and this is where the Serviceability Master is utilised.
Prerequisites
Serviceability Masters can be defined in a unique way for each carrier and hence the contract that you have with the carrier must be informed to the Shipsy team. Shipsy has a mechanism to customize the contract as per your requirement within no time ensuring that your Serviceability is determined considering all factors.
Overview
The image above is an example of Serviceability master setup for the carrier Account ARAMEX ACCOUNT. Note that the Serviceability can be configured differently for each account also ensuring that any and all deviations are captured. In the example visible above, the Serviceability is defined on input parameters like Pincode and Business ID with a serviceability flag for Forward Pickup & Drop and Reverse Pickup.
Serviceability master setup is not possible in case of Hyperlocal carriers as the Serviceability is dynamically calculated in all cases and is based on the traffic and the distance based on latitude/longitude making it impossible to map everything in a static master. Thus it is possible to get the Serviceability from carrier API in realtime as well as the Shipsy masters for different carriers.
Note that creation of logics for TAT and the columns for masters is done by Shipsy as it is different for each client based on their contract with the carrier.
