Exceptions
Definition
Any deviation from the original process that might go wrong due to unpredictable consequences that affects the shipment arrival time is called an Exception. Shipsy’s transport management suite allows the transport manager to maintain a list of exceptions to their transport related assets.
How to Use
To access Exception, Navigate to the main menu>> Setup.
In the Setup section, select Assets & then Transport.
Once the transport section is opened, we can select the exception tab in many of the tabs/options available on the top. Screenshot attached below for reference.
In this page, we can check all the exceptions available in the system both for Vehicles & bags/consignments.
We can use the update option to update any of the existing exceptions by providing the required information in the excel.
We can also enable or disable the exceptions using the same update option by uploading the excel.
We can use the Add new option to add any new exception by providing the valid information & uploading the excel.
Using the Download button beside the Add new button, we can download all the existing exception data.
In the above dashboard for vehicles, we can find all the exception codes with their respective names beside.
In the above dashboard for bags, we can find all the exception codes with their respective names beside. It is also mentioned in the page where the exception is applicable for parent consignment or it is only applicable for pieces/Handling units. It is also mentioned that if it is the terminal exception Yes (Y) or No (N).
We can use these exception codes & use them in the CRM to apply exceptions over the consignments as well as vehicles.
