Understanding the Vehicle Master

Definition

It is a master where any vehicle that a transport manager wants to use shall be added with all the required details.

How to use

Navigate to Setup > Assets > Transport > Vehicle > Add New

Open

When adding a new vehicle, the user will be required to fill a form and input the necessary details pertaining to a vehicle:

1. Vehicle Number - Registration number of the vehicle to be added

2. Vehicle Code - Unique ID of the vehicle to be stored within Shipsy

3. Fleet Type - Dedicated fleet or market fleet

4. Hub Code - Hub to which the vehicle is mapped

5. Fixed Cost - Fixed cost of operating this vehicle to service CNs

6. Variable Cost - Variable cost of operating this vehicle to service CNs

7. Vehicle Make - Make of the vehicle

8. Vendor Name - Name of the vendor supplying this vehicle

9. Time Slot Start - Time slot start time for the time slot in which this vehicle will be serviceable

10. Time Slot End - Time slot end time for the time slot in which this vehicle will be serviceable

11. Vehicle Category - Category of the vehicle

12. Vehicle Registration Date - Registration date of the vehicle mentioned on the RC

13. Optimiser Tag - Optimiser tags associated with this vehicle

14. Contract Type - Contract type on which the vehicle is hired

15. Max Distance per Trip - Maximum distance this vehicle is allowed to travel for a particular trip
