What are Default Mappings
Whenever a new carrier is added in the system by a user, it becomes essential to define a status mapping as well. Shipsy provides a default mapping for all 3PLs integrated in the system and the mapping is also easy to define at the time of carrier setup.
If the carrier partner is being added for the first time then the system will automatically copy the Shipsy Default mapping and create a user default mapping for that 3PL. Name of this mapping would be <organization_id>-<3PL Name>.
If the carrier is added when an account for that carrier is already present, then the user needs to select the status mapping from the dropdown in courier partner config modal. This is done so that every time the same 3PL is added, we do not create a new mapping and at the same time one standard mapping for a 3PL is used across the same courier.
The name of the mapping selected by the user should be visible on the main carrier page:
Commonly used mappings for the carriers are defined here (Standard City, Country, etc. names to Carrier Alias for the same)
Location: Setup > Carrier Partners > Carrier Field Master > System Defined Mapping
Customers can use a single click to enable the complete list of mappings :
To enable: enable the “Use System Defined Mappings” option
If the user has created a custom mapping, it takes precedence over these mappings
Note: Shipsy default mapping would be named as Shipsy-<3PL Name>
