Understanding the Bagging Master

Definition

Bagging is needed to create a set of CNs where there is no physical entity but the set of CNs are combined together to make one for easy operational logistics.

It is used when one needs to move CNs from point A to point B, where the CNs with the same origin and destination are clubbed together.

How to Use

This guide will help a user to create a bag ( positive and console bag) and also how to de-bag a bag. To create a bag please follow these steps:

  1. Click on the hamburger action and you will see the following option on your screen.

  2. Go to the middle mile trip and select the drop-down option, you will find the bag section, by clicking on it you will be redirected to the screen shown below:

  3. The current screen on the system consists of the following:

    1. This is the origin-destination hub field where you put in the origin hub for the bag

    2. This is the calendar to see any previous date data related to bag creation or bag data

    3. Action button which has two option

      1. To create a new bag

      2. To de-bag an existing bag

All the existing bags are visible in this section

  1. Now clicking onto the action button and then to create a new bag a new pop up screen will appear.

  2. Once entered the bag number and destination hub, click next to proceed and you will be redirected.

  3. Now on this screen, you have different visibility:

  1. In this section, you get to see all the CNs that are present in the hub and can be bagged

  2. This section shows bag details

  3. This section shows the CNs that are added to the bag.

  4. Now, either one could go back and later come on to the existing and add more CNs until the bag is sealed or one could seal the bag.

  5. If one doesn’t want to seal the bag right now he could simply go back to any module and later come on to the bag section.

  6. Once you are back in the bag section you could see all the bags that were created by modifying your searches.

  7. The bag that you created could be seen on the screen, by clicking on it you could see the bag details and you could see a click to action button on the top right saying add consignment.

  8. By clicking on it you will be redirected to the screen below and one could continue adding more consignment.

  9. Once the CNs are added, one could seal the bag by clicking on the Seal button and once you click that button the system asks for the seal number which could be put manually or could be scanned directly. Hence your bag is created.
