Carrier Virtual Series

Organisations integrated with Shipsy have the facility of using virtual series. This feature enables clients to pre-define the range of AWB numbers that will be used by the 3PLs and save that as a series on the dashboard. This works by defining a range of AWB numbers for different service types to be used by the 3PL for processing a consignment.

For example, a client having two service types Express and Premium can configure a range of AWB numbers to be used by their 3PL to ensure that CN nomenclature is as per their business requirements. In this case, the client may want to prefix EXP to their CN numbers for express orders and PRE to their CN numbers for premium orders. Additionally, they may also want to configure the series such that the CN number for express ranges between 0001 to 1000 and that for premium orders ranges between 1001 to 2000. This can be done by using the virtual series functionality

Post defining this Virtual Series, all express orders will have CN numbers in the form EXP1000, and all premium orders will have CN numbers in the form PRE2000

Users can read about this further in the How to Setup Carrier Virtual Series section.
